Obituary

Rosemary I. Boucher 54 of Ludlow peacefully passed away peacefully Monday evening September 22 surrounded by here loving family in Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, PA Born in Ludlow November 7, 1953 she was the daughter of the late Leander H. and Rose M. (Roy) Boucher. A lifelong resident of Ludlow she was educated in St. John the Baptist Elementary School, and graduated from Ludlow High School, she was a 1980 graduate of Western New England College earning her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Rosemary was an employee of Springfield College for the past 34 years, working in the Administrative Computing Office. An active and faithful life long communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, she was active in many parish activities, serving on many committees including the Pastoral Council, The Bereavement Team, and the ladies of St. Anne. She also served her Lord as an Eucharistic Minister, Lector, and a member of the RCIA Team. A woman of great faith Rosemary was a covenanted member of the Passionist Congregation, and a longtime member of the Confraternity of the Sacred Passion. On April 29, 2005 Rosemary stood proudly in front of family and friends in the Holy Spirit Chapel of St. Michael’s Cathedral and was consecrated by Most Reverend Timothy A. McDonnell Bishop of Springfield. She also served on thee Board of Directors for Premier Source Credit Union and the Ludlow Community Center Randall Boy’s & Girls Club, and had recently been name to the status of Board Emeriti. She was also a director with the United Way. Her family would like to thanks Msgr. Gosselin, Reese, Pat, Maggie, Lauria, Lloyd, and so many others in Ludlow and in her parish community for their love, support and assistance in her time of need. Rosemary is survived by her brother J. Lee Boucher and his wife Dorothy, a niece Susan B. Avery and her husband Scott, niece Judith Sadawski and her husband Stan, niece Kathryn Gutman and her husband John, niece Cynthia DeFulvio, nephew James Boucher and his wife Kym, nephew Richard Boucher and his wife Lori, 15 Grand nieces and nephews and 1 great grand nephew. She also is survived by her beloved cat Angel, and many friends.

Service Information

Funeral services celebrating her life will be Saturday September 27, 2008 at 8:45 AM from the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Church 181 Hubbard St. Ludlow at 10 AM Msgr. Homer P. Gosselin P. Gosselin will preside. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery.
