Robert J. Harvender, 59, of Ludlow, passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 after a long, hard fought battle with cancer. Son of the late Roy and Dorothy (Cardinal) Harvender, he was born in Springfield on April 20, 1958. He worked for many years as a journeyman plumber. Robert loved boating fishing and spending time with his beloved Labradors.
He is survived by his step-brothers Andrew Carey- Moreno and Mabriel Moreno, both of Ludlow, his step-sisters Donna Carey of Easthampton and Theresa Carey of Clearwater, FL . He also leaves his nieces Kim Houle and Gabrielle Ludwig of Easthampton, Roberta Hurley of Westhampton, Jennifer Rodriguez of Springfield, Tiffany King and Trista Perrea of Westfield, Rachel and Jennifer Havender of NY and his nephew William Moynihan of West Springfield. Sadly, he was predeceased by his beloved stepmother Claire Carey.
Robert’s family would like to thank Drs Nathan Abare, Daniel Landry, Rony Ghaoui, the staff at Mass. General Hospital and Adult Foster Care for the outstanding care and compassion they provided to him,

Family and friends are asked to gather for Robert’s funeral Mass on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 10:00 AM in St. Elizabeth’s Parish, Hubbard St., Ludlow, MA. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
