Obituary

Olive (Chiodi) Davis 89 a longtime Ludlow resident died Thursday September 22 in the care and comfort of her home. Born in Springfield, MA September 5, 1922 daughter of the late Moses and Antoinette (Pepe) Chiodi. Educated in locals schools she was employed by Springfield Wife for several years. She was a Communicant of the former St. Mary of the Assumption Church. She was an avid Red Sox Fan, and loved her occasional trips to the casinos, and bingo. She was the widow of John H. Davis who died in 1970. She is survived by her loving children, John C. Davis and his wife Christine, William Davis and his wife Dorothy, and Michael Davis all of Ludlow, James Davis and his wife Rose of Chicopee, and Karen Saltmarsh and her husband Peter of Westfield, MA. Sister of Marion Mills of Ludlow, grandmother of 10, great-grandmother of 11. Sadly she was predeceased by sisters Margaret Archible and Wanda Bogan. Also survived by extended family members and friends.

Funeral Services Celebrating her life will be Tuesday September 27, 2011 at 11 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow Msgr. Homer P. Gosselin will preside. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery.
