INDIAN ORCHARD – Mildred M. Mickey Jedziniak 92 of Frontenac St. in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield died Sunday November 13, 2005 in a Wilbraham nursing home, after a short illness. Born in Indian Orchard June 7, 1913 she was the daughter of the late Carl & Josephine (Haluch) Jedziniak. Mickey was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, and had worked for many years at the former Westinghouse Co. factory in Springfield, as an assembly line supervisor. She had received many awards for years of dedicated service. After the closure of the Westinghouse complex, she worked at several small manufacturing shops in the Springfield area. Mickey will remembered for her culinary skills, undoubtedly she had the lightest pierogi dough, and loved to cook for others. Mickey was also a loving and devoted care giver for her sister Genevieve C.Jenny Jedziniak, for over 60 years. Her sister died June 4, 2004, and her brother Frank Jedziniak died in 1994. Mickey is survived by her Godchild and his wife, Edward P. & Maxine C. Mazur of Ludlow, her friends and neighbors, The Babula Family, and The Lak’s.
