Obituary

Maxine R. (Dean) Langley 80 of Ludlow died Tuesday June 14 in UMASS Memorial Hospital of Worcester. Born in Mapleton, ME January 23, 1931 daughter of the late Walmer and Mildred (White) Dean. Maxine was raised in Maine, and had lived in Worcester for many years where she and her husband raised her family of 10 children. She worked for Westvaco for over 30 years. In her retirement she loved spending time with her 8 daughters, she adored them and truly they adored her. She loved the occasional trip to the casinos with her girls. She will long be remembered as an active woman, ready to go somewhere on a moments notice. For the care she provided for her son Gary, and their countless trips out to eat. Simply put by her family, she was the best Mom in the world. She was the widow of Gordon A. Langley who died January 23, 1993. She is survived by her children, Gary Langley of Worcester, Gordie Langley, Bonnie Pichierri and her husband Mike of Hubbardston, Connie Carrin and her husband Paul of Worcester, Andrea Powers,and her husband Rock Goodreau, and Sandie Pietro and her husband Eddie all of Barre, Sherry O’Connell of Worcester, Karen Bailey and her husband Michael, Debbie Langley and Steve Durrell all of Springfield, and Pammy Keffer of Taunton. Sister of Dana Dean of Mapleton, ME Grandmother of 24 and great-grandmother of several. Also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services Celebrating her life will be Saturday June 18, 2011 at 1 PM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow, MA Rites of Committal will be in Island Pond Cemetery at a later date.

Dear Langley family, I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. I have the fondest memories of visiting your home , in Worcester, on Saturday nights when I was kid. Maxine was just amazing, so good natured and fun. Where did she get all of that energy? Such delightful people are a rarity. My sincerest sympathy Mark Contois
