Mabel Stella (Wojcik) Knapp, originally from Ludlow, Massachusetts, passed peacefully from this earth on December 7, 2014 at Hospice of the Valley in Mesa, Arizona. She was 93. Mabel had moved to Arizona in 2002, and was a resident at Desert Springs Assisted Living in Mesa for the past ten years, near her son, Michael.
Mabel was the daughter of Mary and Andrew Wojcik, loving wife of Emil Joseph Knapp, and mother of son Michael and daughter Carol. She also had two sisters, Josephine and Bernice. All have pre-deceased her except for Michael.
She worked at American Bosch, took time off to be a full time mom to her children, before returning to work in the Ludlow School System, retiring in 1992. She was a longtime parishioner of Christ the King Parish in Ludlow.
Funeral Services celebrating Mabels life will Saturday, December 13, 2014 at 9:30 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church, Warsaw Avenue, Ludlow, MA. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Berkshire Ave, Springfield, MA
