Leo R. Dion, 88, of Ludlow passed away peacefully Thursday, April 16, 2015 surrounded by his family. Son of the late John and Marion (Boisvert) Dion, he was born October 15, 1926 in Springfield, MA.
A longtime Ludlow resident Leo worked for many years as a roofer for Morris Roofing. He had the distinction of roofing the well known gazebo in Memorial Park in Ludlow. He served the town for many years as a member of the Planning Board and Sewer Commission. Leo was an avid New England Patriots fan, a fierce cribbage player and a friend to many.
Leo is survived by two sons Robert T. Dion and his wife Laura of Chicopee; Anthony M. Dion of Springfield; two daughters Donna Gamble and her husband John and Marion Corkins and her husband John both of Springfield; a sister Nancy Kienzler of Springfield. Leo also leaves 9 beloved grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Sadly, he was predeceased by his wife Pearl (Ayers) Dion in 2004 and a sister Doris Fales

Funeral Services for celebrating Leos life will be Monday, April 20, 2015 at 5:00 PM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
