Lawrence L. Polacko Bellucci, 87, a member of the Greatest Generation, died Saturday, January 12, 2013, in Mercy Medical Center. Born in Ludlow August 18, 1925, he was the son of the late Victor and Bernice (Ricci) Bellucci and was educated in local schools. He proudly served his country during World War II as a member of the United States Marine Corps, attaining the rank of corporal. He was a master mason and plastering contractor. He later served the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as Assistant Door Keeper-Court Officer for the House of Representatives. He retired from Belchertown State School as a craftsman in their furniture shop. He was awarded an honorary membership in the Polish American Veterans’ Club of Wilbraham, and was presented as a lifetime membership at Elmcrest Country Club. He was the widower of Carmelina Carmen (Muzzicato) Bellucci who died February 12, 2009. He is survived by his children, Sandra A. Shooshan of Springfield, Patricia L. Conti of Palmer, Donna M. Lowney of Monson, Lawrence L. Bellucci and his wife Maureen of Wilbraham and Richard L. Bellucci and and his wife Barbara of Ludlow. Cherished grandfather of Cory and Nicholas Bellucci, Nicole and Alyssa Conti, Allison and Samuel Lowney and Shawna Lowney Pignone and her husband Jared. Great-grandfather of Benjamin, Lucas and Jackson Pignone. He is also survived by his sister, Eva Tebaldi of FL. It was Larry’s wish that all funeral services be private and there are no calling hours.
