John Canelas, 73, of Ludlow, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 29, 2017. Son of the late Antonio and Henriqueta (Loureiro) Canelas, John was born in Esmolfe, Portugal on April 21, 1944. He worked as a machinist/lead man for EIS, Corp for 43 years.
John is survived by his loving wife Maria A. Canelas of Ludlow; 2 brothers Miguel Canelas and his wife Maria Lourdes and Jose Canelas and his wife Maria Louisa all of Ludlow. He also leaves many nieces and nephews. Sadly he was predeceased by his daughter Monica Paula Canelas and his sister Conceicao Marques.
Family and friends are asked to meet Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Christ the King Church, Warsaw Avenue, Ludlow, MA for John’s funeral Mass. Burial will be private, at the convenience of the family.
