Obituary

John B. Mansfield 90 of Merrimac Ave in the Hungry Hill neighborhood of Springfield died Tuesday May 11 in Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield August 24, 1919 son of the late George & Mary Mansfield LaMountain. Educated in local schools he proudly served his country by joining the Army during Word War II. He was a Communicant of the former Our Lady of Hope Church. John worked as a truck driver for many years and was also a member of Teamsters Local 404. He had driven for M&M Trucking, H.P. Welch, Rand Express, and D. George Trucking. He was also a member of the Chicopee Moose Lodge. Sadly he was predeceased by his wife Lucille (Midura) Mansfield. he is survived by his sons Robert Mansfield of Boca Raton, FL and Russell Mansfield of Springfield. Grandfather of Kimberly Mansfield and Cristi Nelson. Great-Grandfather of Chloe Nelson.
