James J. Walsh

James J. Walsh, 60, of Springfield passed away Wednesday January 31, 2018.  Son of the late William Walsh and Lillian (Scanlon) Walsh.  He was born in Springfield on January 5, 1958.  A lifelong resident, he was a graduate of the former Springfield Technical High School.  He worked as a pressman throughout his life at several local companies including but not limited to Hazen Paper Company.

James is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Donna (Roberts) Walsh of Springfield. Married 36 years but lifelong sweethearts since the age of 14.  Their bond was inseparable.  His two loving children; son Jason Walsh and his daughter Jamie Walsh, as well as daughter-in-law Linda Walsh, also of Springfield. He also leaves his 2 beloved grandsons Jaxson and Julian.  His siblings; brother Thomas Walsh of Southwick, his sisters Kathy Stoddard of West Springfield, Janet Langone of Springfield and Emily Bushey of New Hampshire.  Sadly, James was predeceased by his brother William Walsh and his sister Theresa DiFranco.  He also leaves his adored dog and loyal companion, Kingston.  James was a car enthusiast from a very young age, loving all models of the Mustang.  He most recently loved his Jeep, with its Hemi V8 engine.  He was a loyal, dedicated family man and although he struggled in his later years with multiple medical issues he always did his best to be there for his loved ones, even if that was only a phone call
