Hugo Tietze, 94, of Ludlow, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2015. He was born in Freudenberg, Czechoslovakia on February 15, 1921. He was married to Anna Christoph from Steinshonau, Czechoslovakia.
In his youth Hugo was a bookkeeper. He and his family immigrated to the United States in 1954. He worked for Westinghouse, then as a mold maker for Service Rubber Co. He loved his last job as a salesman for Autocraft Mfg, in which he traveled to many states.
Hugo loved all kinds of music and had an extensive music collection. He also collected stamps and photos. He had a great enthusiasm for life and loved traveling and dancing. He was a member of the Liederkranz dance club of Newington, CT. Hugo was always happy and joking with others, making them feel good.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of nearly 75 years Anna (Christoph) Tietze of Ludlow; his sons Erwin Tietze of Holyoke and Roland Tietze and his wife Pamela of Feeding Hills and his daughter Doris Zalucki of Ludlow. Hugo also leaves his grandchildren Justin Tietze and his wife Sarah; Adam Tietze; Lori Clarke and her husband Patrick; Christopher Zalucki and Michael Zalucki as well as his great-grandchildren Caroline, Evan and Lucas Clarke.
Funeral Services celebrating Hugos life will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 8:45 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home
64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Christ the King Church, Warsaw Ave, Ludlow, MA. Rites of Committal will be in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Parker St. Springfield, MA.
