Gary A. Peterson

Gary Allyn Peterson, 42, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2012, in the arms of his loving wife Michele (Dubrey) Peterson at Life Care Center of Wilbraham after a long illness. Gary was born in Springfield on June 29, 1970, to Allyn and Diana (Carlson) Peterson and grew up in East Longmeadow. Gary lived with his wife, Michelle, of 7 years and
son, Wesley in Ludlow prior to going to Life Care Center of Wilbraham in February 2012. He graduated from East Longmeadow High School in 1989 and New England College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management in 1993. He was the manager of U-Save Auto Rental in Enfield, CT for 7 years. He then worked for Teddy Bear Pools in Chicopee. He was an active member of the West Springfield Lions Club from 2001-2008. Both Michele and Gary loved to volunteer with the Lions club at the big E. As a teenager, he enjoy biking, skiing, cherished his 3 different cameros, and he had a true love of hockey, from an early of five. His hockey career consisted of; WTM Hockey Association, East Longmeadow High School, Keen, Jr. Hawks, and was the goalie of the Teddy Bear Pool Senior League. He also loved to water ski and was never happier than to be in his boat with his wife, Michele, family and friends.
From an early age, Gary enjoyed camping with his family. His love of camping was shared with his wife and son. Gary treasured his time camping and fishing with them.
Gary leaves his wife, Michele (Dubrey) and son, Wesley of Ludlow; his parents, Allyn and Diana Peterson of East Longmeadow; his brother, Erik Peterson and his wife, Donna and their children, Chad and Marshall of Cape Elizabeth, ME, his father and mother-in law, Paul and Marie Dubrey of Sturbridge, MA; brother-in-law Paul Dubrey and his wife, Brenda and daughter, Caroline of Worcester, MA; brother-in-law Thomas Dubrey and his wife, Stephanie and daughters Ashley and Katie of Holland, MA. Michele and family would like to thank the entire staff at Life Care Center of Wilbraham for their loving care and compassion for Gary.
