Obituary

Edwin L. Gottsman, 74, of Leesburg FL, formerly of Ludlow, MA passed away Friday, September 30, 2016. Born December 27, 1941 in Holyoke, MA, he was the son of the late Edwin A. and Beatrice(Faucher) Gottsman. Edwin was a graduate of Chicopee High School. He proudly served his country as a member of the U. S. Coast Guard during the Vietnam War. He worked for Friendly Ice Cream Corp for 25+ years and was known as Mr. Friendly.

Edwin was a former member of St. Pauls United Methodist Church in Ludlow and a charter member of the Ludlow Lodge of Elks.

Edwin is survived by his wife of over 51 years, Beverly (Watson) Gottsman of Leesburg, FL; two daughters Wendy Lynn Gottsman of Ocala, FL and Robin Marie Gottsman of Chicopee and a brother Lowell Gottsman of Chicopee as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Margaret Green

Funeral Services celebrating Edwins life will be held Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home, 64 Sewall St, Ludlow, MA. Rites of Committal with Military Honors will follow in Island Pond Cemetery, Center St, Ludlow, MA.
