Bertrand G. Chasse

Bertrand G. Chasse 88 of Ludlow died Tuesday December 20 at Mercy Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Springfield, MA son of the late Joseph and Bertha (Talbot) Chasse. Bert received his BA from Fordham University, and his MA from St. John’s University. He worked as a teacher in the Falls Village, CT school system, the East Windsor, CT school system, the Town of Ludlow School system and for Cathedral High School. A daily Communicant of Christ the King Church, he was a member of it’s Mens Guild, and was a faithful and active member of the Adoration Chapel. A member of the Massachusetts Citizens for Life, the Indian Orchard Council Knight of Columbus, MARA the Massachusetts Republican Assembly, and the Connecticut teachers Association. He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Doris (Meagher) Chasse, his children Joseph E. Chasse of Monson, MA and Christine C. Allen of Berwick, PA a sister Jacquelyn Weissbach of Longmeadow, MA. Cherished grandfather of Thomas and Katelyn Chasse, and John, Benjamin and Sarah Allen. Sadly he was predeceased by his sisters Pauline Campbell, Lucille Rollins, and Madeline Ahrberg. Also survived by many extended family members and friends.
