Obituary

Barbara A. (Lafayette) Jahn, 68 of Ludlow passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015. The daughter of Lorraine R. (Moreau) Lafayette and the late Frank Lafayette Sr., Barbara was born in Burlington, Vermont on May 11, 1946. A longtime Ludlow resident, Barbara worked for many years as the Principal Account Clerk for the City of Holyoke, at The Department of Public Works.

Barbara is survived by her daughter Maria D. Jahn and her beloved granddaughters Maria Lanee Jahn and Adrien Rescia of Ludlow. She also leaves her mother Lorraine R. Lafayette of Ludlow, her son Drayton Michaels and daughter-in-law Violet Michaels of Red Bank, NJ, a brother Edward Lafayette and sister-in-law Joanne Lafayette of Ludlow, her nephew Michael Lafayette, and her niece Kimberley Desrosiers. Sadly, she was predeceased by her father and her brother Frank Lafayette Jr.

Barbara enjoyed walking and watching the birds, painting, crocheting and baking, but what she loved and adored most of all were her granddaughters Little Nee Nee and Dolly.
Barbara was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend who adored and loved us all beyond what words could express. We will miss you beyond what words we can express. Life is a blend of love and loss, but love is always stronger. We love you Barb!
The guardian angels of life fly so high as to be beyond our sight, but they are always looking down upon us. Jean Paul Richter
