Albert Dias 87 long time resident of Ludlow died Tuesday August 3, 2010 in the care and comfort of his own home. Born in Portugal September 3, 1922 son of the late Jose and Eduarda Dias. Al proudly served his country during WWII as a member of the United State Army, he attained the rank of E5 Tech Sergeant. He was a Certified Public Accountant, was the Owner of Albert Dias Insurance Co. and was a custom home builder. He was a member of the Ludlow Lions Club and was a member of Ludlow Country Club. Al’s family wishes to thank Caring Solutions for there love and support to help Al to remain at home, and very Special Thanks to Mavis. The family also wishes to thank Baystate Hospice and VNA for their care. Al is survived by sons Joseph Dias and his wife Debbie and Albert J. Dias and his wife Kelly all of Ludlow, and a daughter Madeline M. Warzecki and her husband Paul of Ludlow. Brother of Joseph Dias and Armand Dias and his wife Hilda of Ludlow, and the late Avelino Dias who died in 1983. Grandfather of Timothy and his fiance Renee, Daniel and his wife Katherine, Jonathan, Christopher, Matthew, William, Evan, Lynn, Lori, and Lisa. Great-grandfather of Kobe & Leah.

Funeral services celebrating his life will be Thursday August 5, 2010 at 10 AM at the Kapinos-Mazur Funeral Home 64 Sewall St. Ludlow Rites of Committal with Military Honors will follow in Island Pond Cemetery.
