Edward P. Mazur
Owner / Funeral Director

Edward is a lifelong resident of Ludlow and a 1982 graduate of the New England Institute of Applied Arts & Sciences. His professional affiliations include memberships with the National Funeral Directors Association, the Massachusetts Funeral Directors Association, the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice, the Cremation Association of North America, and he is a charter member of the Western Massachusetts Independent Funeral Directors Association, serving as its president for 2003 - 2004. In 2003, Ed was appointed to the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Embalmers and Funeral Directors. He is also active with many community organizations, such as the Ludlow Lions Club, the Brigham Lodge of Masons, the Ludlow Lodge of Elks 2448, and the Ludlow Boys & Girls Club, of which he is currently serving on the Board of Directors. Ed served his town as a call fire fighter for over 20 years, served on the building committee for the town’s new community center, and is a past member of the Springfield Symphony Chorus and Schola Cantorum. Currently, Ed chairs the Board of Assessors for Ludlow and is a communicant of St. Cecilia’s Roman Catholic Church. Married to the former Maxine Bizon, Ed enjoys skiing, boating, traveling, and home and garden improvement. He also enjoys their energetic Springer Spaniels. Ed and Maxine spearheaded Ludlow’s “Celebration of Freedom Campaign”, which raised funds for the World War II Memorial now under construction in Washington, D.C. He also served on the town’s 9/11 Memorial Committee and planned a Candlelight Vigil Service in the days following September 11, 2001.
